Kate Hrobsky
Kate Hrobsky is a mature businesswoman with a passion for real estate and urban planning. Graduating from The University of Texas in 2002 with a degree in finance Kate took her dreams of big business to NYC to work in investment banking or real estate, whatever she could land. She started as an administrative assistant at Deutsche Bank where she planned to matriculate into a larger role or make her next move upward. She got lucky with an interview from a Texas based real estate company, Trammell Crow Company in 2003. Kate’s core responsibility was analyst to the brokers, bankers and sales people in the growing New York operation. Some highlights were disposing of large national portfolios for American Express and Yum! Brands. Obtaining a great education and set of experiences at Trammell Crow Company she decided to go to the next level to practice her underwriting and analysis skills for a renowned owner, Shorenstein Properties. Some highlights were establishing a mezzanine debt program and purchasing 399 Boylston Street in Boston. Culminating in the underwriting, acquiring and repositioning of Park Avenue Tower and 850 Third Avenue. Shortly after that achievement, Kate had her first child and temporarily retired. Currently Kate is raising three daughters and managing her husband and dog and working on finding her new role in the business world. She resides on the Upper East Side in NYC. She enjoys reading, theater, travel and most of all time with the family she has built. In addition to managing her family’s investments, Kate spends her free time on many philanthropic endeavors and is particularly involved with The Brick Presbyterian Church and Yorkville Community School.
